To kick off our first official school year, we will take a 10-day road trip, visiting four state capitals, a national park, and various museums. Students will learn about government processes, civic engagement, cultural awareness and diversity, ecology and ecosystems, environmental stewardship, and outdoor skills and recreation.
On this 7-day road trip, students will travel through America's heartland, visiting five state capitals, multiple national monuments, a children's museum, a jazz museum, a negro league baseball museum, and a science museum. Learning objectives for this trip will include music appreciation, history, research and communication, and critical thinking and analysis.
Students will go on an adventure across America by train, stopping to explore five state capitals, a national park, a national monument, and a Native American reservation. Learning objectives include cultural awareness, diversity, geology, earth science, natural history, and environmental conservation.
As we close out our first semester, students will take a journey through the most magical place on earth, as well as visit one state capital and the campus of a Historically Black University. The learning objectives for this adventure will include observing and understanding the art of animation, teamwork, technology and innovation, enhancing creativity and imagination, as well as exploring research, history, and culture.
To escape the cold and enjoy some fun in the January sun, students will journey to the Caribbean to learn about culture and history. They will also participate in excursions with lessons in marine life, geology, economies and ecosystems, and culinary arts.
On this 7-day road trip, students will journey through the southeastern region, learning about the significance of the Civil Rights movement and how our country is still affected by these historical events currently.
While exploring an area of the United States that was part of the original thirteen colonies, students will visit four state capitals, an air and space museum, a historical plantation, and multiple national monuments, as well as the capital of the U.S. They will explore various fields of science, history, art, culture, and technology, enhancing their critical thinking and analytical skills.
On this journey, students will explore diverse landscapes and geological formations, learning about desert and forest ecosystems. They will also visit major tourist cities and understand the impact of entertainment and tourism on local communities.
To close out our first official school year, students will embark on an awe-inspiring tour of arctic landscapes and volcanic wonders. They will experience the cultural diversity of two separate, but equally important, indigenous communities and learn the heritage and global influences of both.
